Dr. Christa Maynard

Dr Christa Maynard is a highly accomplished Nutritional Therapist and medical researcher with over 20 years of experience in the fields of cell biology and age-related chronic diseases. With a PhD in medicine from the University of Melbourne, her research has focused on the underlying mechanisms of conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease and the potential for diet and lifestyle interventions to slow or prevent their progression.

Driven by a deep-seated passion for natural medicine and preventive healthcare, Christa pursued further studies in nutritional medicine. She integrates her robust scientific understanding of human physiology with nutrition, herbal medicine, and lifestyle modifications to take a functional medicine approach. Her goal is to address physiological imbalances at their core, helping clients prevent chronic disease and restore optimal health.

Christa’s academic achievements include a Postgraduate Diploma in Personalised Nutrition from Middlesex University and undergraduate degrees in Biochemistry and Chemistry. She is also a certified Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) practitioner, enabling her to support behavioural and mindset shifts in her clients.

Alongside her clinical work, Christa is a certified yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance, a published researcher in the field of Alzheimer’s and neurodegenerative diseases, and a former Assistant Professor at the Karolinska Institute in Sweden, where she led independent research and lectured in medical programmes. She also serves as a reviewer for scientific journals and is passionate about sharing her knowledge through teaching and writing.

In addition to her professional achievements, Christa enjoys a vibrant, healthy lifestyle, regularly participating in marathons and triathlons, and practising yoga amidst the natural beauty of Stockholm, Sweden. She loves experimenting with plant-based recipes, aligning her personal and professional ethos of promoting wellness through nutrition.

Christa works closely with Dr Andrew Greenland, supporting individuals on the Bredesen ReCODE Protocol to prevent and reverse cognitive decline, as well as fostering healthy ageing. Based in Stockholm, she offers virtual consultations to clients globally.
